Do you have Grandmothers in your family who take Mother's Day too seriously?

certain segment of wife's side is nuts. They are Grandmothers now with grown children yet demand, literally demand Queen for the Day status.
They recently moved closer and I find this very strange and annoying.
Is this common with others?

The few times I've had more than a five hour layover, (in NYC for example) I'll venture out.
If you can find a locker for your carry on at the airport, that makes it easier than lugging it with you everywhere.
The new Travel Board would have answered this without the O-T smack that you'll probably get here.
ETA: Sorry about the TB lecture.

I read the revised subject then the locker response, and I'm like
does he want to put Grandma in a locker? Posted on 5/7/16 at 11:23 am to Dorothy
No , no. Just hate to waste space.
Yes, on another subject, in laws very clearly said the gathering we planned was not to their satisfaction. They seemed confused we would not cancel scheduled activities for children. I fin this very strange

Make your F-I-L into your huckleberry.
Problem solved.
The spirit of rebeloke solves more of life's problems everyday.
I'd deal with their schedule for the one (or two or three) day(s) a year for harmony.
There's another 360+ chances per year for you to make statements.
Good luck with the baggage.
