Do you have a routine that you feel you can't break? Too much of the same shite? What do you think is causing (or the lack thereof) the boredom?

Yes. I just sold a business I loved, because I knew I'd never get that price for it in the future, and am struggling to replace it.
My children are growing way too fast, and while all is wonderfully bucolic, it's stale.

Could you not make another business?
Especially if the sale has given you a financial windfall, you are free to take up a hobby for a good while, and develop that in to a profitable venture.

I'm on it. I'm a perfectionist and tend to overthink things. Too many options, and I'm not young (even though everyone says otherwise).

Dabble in a few things, and go with what you enjoy the most. It could be woodworking, it could be coding, it could be music. Who the hell knows.
Use the freedom to explore, not to feel confined. I understand that the perfectionist streak makes you want to give up if you aren't immediately good at something (I definitely feel that), but you've gotta use your potential energy someway.

Serious answer, yes, on gratefully rare occasion.
I call it depression.

How are you not constantly coming behind them, fixing or replacing shite they broke? That aspect of manhood should keep your attention and have you entertained until you’re eligible for Medicare, at least. Longer if you had grandkids in your 50’s.

I think, why do I keep waking up to the same fricking shite. At least when I drank it was interesting.

Think this, then say this; three times fast.
Susie sits in a shoe shine shop
Where she sits, she shines
Where she shines, she sits

Being born in US is lucky as shite. Being bored is inexcusable unless intentional. I’ve got so much shite to do it’s ridiculous and there are not enough hours in a day
