Since China annexed Tibet, the Han have rapidly colonized it. They are the historically dominant ethnicity in China.
They have also spread into the Xinjiang province where the majority of China's Muslim population have lived for 1,400 years. Because of China's communist government, religion in that province is declining.
So, to answer your question, yes, Tibet is definitely part of China now. Like the Borg of Star Trek fame, the Chinese have completely assimilated them.
