If so, what happened to it? Think Seymour got it?

There was a poster here that said it was real because his mother always told him how she had to put part of her paycheck in it.

It was most likely a euphemism for various bank accounts and money caches. As to what happened to it, he probably spent it as fast as it came in. Running a quasi dictatorship is expensive. Whatever was left was skimmed by cronies after he died.

I am not a Long partisan nor a Long hater. Any appraisal of him has to be in the context of the times and social conditions that gave rise to him. He craved power more than money, he was charismatic, and he could have been a dangerous man in national office. OTOH he dragged Louisiana kicking and screaming into the twentieth century, and while he was corrupt, he was no more corrupt than his predecessors. At least the average man got some tangible benefits under the Long regime

Seymour made out well. He knew what he was doing.

Btw, ole Huey used to eat off of other people's plates. I'd have had to slap his little porky pig face if tried that shite with me.

Not sure why he didn't refer to where she went to college as Newcomb. Makes me suspicious.

Huey was like George Wallace-race baited because it worked, but had no personal racial animosity toward blacks, and in fact, did a few things that benefited them when he was governor. If he thought it was to his advantage, he would have been at the head of the civil rights parade.

Nobody loved LSU more than Huey P. He also made sure the students were taken care of.

Saying Huey was charismatic is like saying Hitler was a decent inspirational speaker.
