Does the sheriffs office set those up on roadsides to see where to set up future speed traps or are they only used as a scare tactic?

Gun it & see how high it gets before you pass.

Pretty sure they're just a scare tactic to slow your arse down. I mean some are set up like on the lapalco bridge where you could never put up a trap. In fact that one is almost a warning because they will speed trap past it on occasions.

They have three of these in downtown Houma. It’s absolutely ridiculous the speed limit from right before terrebone high through downtown isn’t 35.

The ones in Washington are a couple of mph less than what your actual is.

I assume this is so that you think you are going the speed limit and then they pull you over and give you a ticket.

They internally scan your phone when you pass by so they can robo call you later to remind you about your soon to be expiring extended car warranty.

They’re used to shut up “concerned citizens” that think speeding is the cause of everything that ails society.

I’ve had one put in my yard twice in the past 6 months. Can’t wait until the speed bumps are installed. Neighbors are bitching at me. I told them to duck off and go bitch at the neighbors who are speeding. I’m not the problem here.

Listen Dick Trickle, it’s because you touch yourself while driving is why we have to suffer these portable machines.

Slow down and keep your hands not to yourself.

They store data of times when speeders go by. Yes, this is true. The department that sets this up is not going to tell you this.

This way a dept knows when to hang out and give citations out for mandatory donations to the municipality you live in.

The one at the foot of the basin bridge here in Louisiana would show that I was doing 55 when I was doing 65
