I am just so tired of going into a room to find a patient and their nasty family oozing disgusting cigarette smell on everything in there.

It takes the entire rest of the day to get that putrid smell out.

Let me blow your mind real quick: you didn't & everyone judged you as a lesser person

There's nothing worse than seeing some smoking hot girl (no pun intended), start picturing her naked, then she pulls out a cigarette. Completely takes away every bit of attractiveness a girl could have.

Not necessarily a character flaw, they are addicted to nicotine and they don't smell it the way non-smokers do.

Anyone still smoking cigarettes in 2017 has either made it in life and just doesn't care anymore, or they're totally ignorant and lack willpower.

Once I was working in an office when some maids came in to clean. Things went as you'd expect until the husband of one showed up. He smelled like a fricking tobacco plantation. He came over to my desk to ask me a question and I actually thought I might faint from the smell.

He must have worked in a humidore

I think they don't give a shite how they smell because they're obviously trashy as frick and probably don't have much of an education. Their children will be the same way, too.

im gonna say they absolutely don't realize, and/or don't give a frick. my eX (thank god) was hitting about a pack a day, of course, all the while trying to be a half arse closet smoker. joker would ALWAYS have money for smokes... ALWAYS, but yet begging for gas money bc poor pitiful her didn't have any money get to work or pay her bills. funny thing is, she had a young daughter who she tried to hide it from, but would walk outside every 15 minutes and blaze down. she always smelled like a nasty cig, her car, her clothes, the whole shebang.....

Can you imagine a time not that very long ago, people were allowed to smoke on airplanes?

True, but that's not my problem. I'm not responsible for getting them addicted in the first place. They knew the risks when they started.

Airplanes, I remember when people smoked inside of hospitals. That was the early 80's, probably didn't end until the mid 80's ?

Smoked for 20 years, quit last year. I knew I stunk but had no idea how bad. I have a couple employees that smoke and holy crap have I noticed how bad they smell lately.

Watch an old movie and you'll see scenes of people smoking in hospitals

I smoked for over 20 years and quit a year ago, haven't touched a cigarette since September 30 2016. I've realized that smoking stinks something awful and it clings to everything and I never noticed it while I was a smoker. With that said, smoking is awesome and I miss it terribly.

Or how at one time doctors and nurses smoked at the nurse’s stations of hospital wards.

Yep, and in local restaurants, businesses etc. too. Cig smoke permeates your skin and clothes and is a horrible smell. I quit about 18 years ago.
