Do non-binary people view their pets as binary?

A post from earlier got me wondering about people who claim there are more than 2 sexes or genders. Do they view their dog or cat as male or female? Obviously animals can’t “choose” their sex so how do they deal with that issue when someone asks they if their dog is a male or female?

they don't believe in pets. animals should be free.

don't open this can of worms. They might not have thought of this yet.

If they’re fixed then it doesn’t matter

I guess our Aussie was non-binary. She lifted her leg when she peed.
And all this time, I thought it was because when she was a very young puppy, I took her walking with a friend who had a male Basset Hound. Otis lifted his leg to pee, and she just thought that was how you did it.
Silly me.

My dog identified as a stuffed animal before getting neutered.

I am still scratching my head about the "non-binary female" I encountered last week.
