Do bug deflectors work?

Thinking about getting one for my Ford because im sick of having to clean bugs off of the windshield, im just not sure if these things actually work. Has anyone ever had one?

it is more the keep rock chips off of the front of the hood, but they put bugs that were going to hit low on the windshield more into your line of site. I have one on my silverado to prevent the hood from getting chipped up not so much for bugs.

they may help some,but do not block all of the bugs.
