I assumed you were a troll playing a stereotype for a point, but your dedication to the craft is impressive.

I don't know about that but I have a large amount of knowledge concerning plant workers. So much more than most of the respondents in this thread. I'm just explaining to OP how I feel and answering others questions.

Without going through 8 pages of this thread, what is it about plant workers that so many here don't like?

I do. Your ignorant conclusion proves just how wrong the rest of your thoughts are. Now go put on your white collared shirt and dust off the frame your degree is in. My ignorant arse is going get my new Allison Craft bass boat ready for a day on the water.

/discussion with you.

Only reason I asked is I don' live in LA and I find it interesting that so many here have a negative view of "plant workers".

Would everyone prefer if we all became commercial fisherman? Or maybe plumbers?

So many have a problem with people that are capable of physically producing things...

Like any profession, there are good and bad examples. The concentration of plant workers on this site (hourly and salary) is what makes the conversation so lively.

Hell, I respect any man that goes out and earns an honest living. In my 26 years of working, I've gone from green collar, to blue collar to now white collar (yes, biker trash can be white collar). In my opinion as long as a man earns what he makes, then he's alright in my book.

I'd kinda like to know that myself. It's all new to me. I saw it here first. I know too many brag about the $s they make and do so to aggravate people with degrees. Otherwise ....

Classic!!!

My grandpa got an engineering degree but was a railroad engineer for a few years before entering the engineering field.

My question to the trolls is where would one be without the other??
