The only true nightlife (Nightclubs) left around the country in big cities - Las Vegas, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas and that’s about it
I don’t even think New Orleans has a club scene anymore - hell of a bar scene but not much of a true nightclub scene
exactly
And there was that time that you had to actually be a legitimate businessman to run a club or open a club
that's not how it is anymore it's the Wild West out there
at least the Underworld connections in the biz were white ,, I mean .. comon

The world famous Club Space in Downtown Miami just closed for good. They had a 25 year run. It’s insane because that place printed money.
So what happened, 25 years ago they opened in very shady part of downtown Miami where the local Gov made that area a 24 hour liquor license district.
Over the years, that part of downtown Miami started getting the big high rise condos and all of the people who lived in those condos bitched about Club Space
It’s pretty fricked up that Club Space revitalized that entire area and now they are getting kicked out because snobby arse condo owners who just moved there don’t like the noise. That’s just bullshite to me.

When I was 13, there was this one kid who DJ'd at all the middle school dance parties. He was also 13. He nicknamed himself DJ AK. This kid was from a wealthy family, but I knew without a doubt that anyone from a wealthy upper class family making 1 mil+ a year that decides to DJ parties at 13 years old is destined to a life of drugs and no degree. I ended up being right.

You say this now, but I bet if you took some ecstasy and listened to a DJ spin a remix of Funkytown, you’d be dancing your little butt off.
Ecstasy and the original by Lipps Inc were both better in the '80s.

I was in Fort Lauderdale Miami at a point in my D Jing Confetti fort Lauderdale
was the club
They had invested a lot in the club and I was one of the three opening DJ's but because I was the responsible one I was given charge of all the adjustments or upgrades done to the lighting and to the sound because I was the guy they remember from Houston and they didn't want someone negotiating they didn't feel they wanted to send someone from corporate to do the negotiating on the deals so it was a fun time ...there are a lot of freaks in Miami mid 80's
shite,, the stories,, the Cociane of which I did not,, the money,, the Call Girls/strippers,, DJ;s promoters
was the club

Another thing that has totally killed the club scene is nobody is doing Ecstasy/MDMA - Coke anymore because everybody is scared they might be taking fentanyl
Those two drugs is what made clubbing what it was back in the day. Without those two drugs, you either have drunks or people staring at their phones all night. There’s no vibe anymore in nightclubs like there used to be 10-20 years ago. Why would people spend $18 for a drink on top of a $50 cover when they can just sit at home and drink or hit up a local dive bar for drinks a lot cheaper

Looks like it’s only closing temporarily, from skimming a couple news articles.
