Look near fuel petcock. There is usually a small in line filter…near fuel tank. That’ll be your issue

Figured out what was wrong with it. It was air in one of the injector lines. I started out blowing all the lines coming from the tank to the fuel filter but nothing changed. Was getting ready to give up and call John Deere to bring it there and have them look into it. Then I remembered that the previous owner changed an injector line and hadn’t ran it after it was changed so I loosened up the line to let air out and when I tightened it back up, the engine started running like a charm. No smoke or anything.

Doesn't it feel great to tackle a nagging issue and do it for cheap? Glad you fixed it and you shouldn't have too many issues with that engine.

Yes it does. I was thinking the worst but hoping for the best. Engine only has 1100 hours on it so it should last me a lifetime. Plan on waxing and degreasing it this Monday when I’m off. It’s my new toy!

Those are great mowers. I bought one off of EBay that a city in California had purchased for a city golf course. Had 400hr on it and I bought it for $2800. What kind of grass are you cutting with yours?

Bermuda. Just built our forever home and started to do the spraying to get the head start for next year. Plan on doing some sand leveling next spring and really get it going for next year. Doing landscaping in the spring as well so I want everything just right. Will cut about 30k sq ft.
