Yea sticking with school is the way to go. I was at LSU, graduated, worked 2 years and went back to pharmacy school. Didn't finish till I was 29 but I'm glad I did it

Don't matter how you pass the class just pass IT!!

I know the feeling. I went to college for nearly a decade and it was very difficult toward the end when all of my college buddies were making real money, buying houses, etc... while I went further into education. Must remind yourself that this is an investment and you have to be patient before seeing the kind of returns you want.
The full ride is such a gift. It's honestly like sitting on a lottery ticket so don't throw it away. Sure, you know plenty of guys that have graduated and are buying stuff - most are in debt that they'll never admit to you. The majority of your classmates at school will graduate with a lot of debt. You will graduate with no student loan debt and can immediately start dumping maximum contribution into your retirement fund.
You graduate you open countless doors whether they're involved with engineering or not.

Got my degree at 30 with a wife and 3 kids. Lots of sleepless nights, one divorce, but glad I got mind

For me it does matter, I have to maintain a 3.0 to keep my scholly.

Yea I got no kids, just married, only negative is a huge loan but I've taken down a huge portion of it in last 3 years

Well I understand that then. Get to studying and stay off the OT.

I really do want to stay in college and get my degree. My parents really haven't bought me much. They believe the tough way is the best way. They have the means, but I bought my own car, and I pay my bills as well. I drive a clunker and I have been saving up for a newer vehicle for a while.

I understand the loan thing I am still paying on mine I had to keep the monthly payments low because I got 1800.00 a month in child support
Posted on 2/24/15 at 12:16 am to tigerclaw10
It's an uphill climb. I'm just getting tired of climbing the fastest when I see others reach peaks.

Wow it's hard to pay off a loan with 1800 a month for kids
Posted on 2/24/15 at 12:19 am to LSULyle00690
Exactly my oldest will be 18 next month so the child support will start going down
I had a 10 year plan to payoff my student loans

If you do not have the foresight to see the benefits of a college degree to your future earning power and want to sacrifice for immediate lesser material satisfaction, then you don't belong in college to begin with.

Engineering in college sucks just a fair warning, but its only 4-5 years of sucking. If you do ptech, that may suck for the rest of your life depending how you like to live. You want to work shift work go ptech. You will earn a good living. I think you could make a good bit more in engineering and probably have a better job. Just my opinion.

Yea my minimum monthy payment was 1550, that would have paid off 145k in 10 years (horrible 6.5% interest)
But was able to pay a lot extra and hopefully I'll be done after 5 years total (2 more)

Unfortunately my sperm and my ex's eggs were like dynamite. The first two kids yes but the last kid a 5 min quicky in our closet and a quick pull up = + pregnancy test. As on ESPN "COME ON MAN"
