Deputies shoot and kill burglary suspect in Mandeville

Doubt there will be a riot
ST. TAMMANY PARISH – Deputies fatally shot a burglary suspect while trying to arrest him Tuesday afternoon near Mandeville, Sheriff Jack Strain said.
The unidentified suspect was shot a little before 5 p.m. after he tried to stab a deputy. The suspect did stab a K-9 unit dog in the neck and shoulder, Strain said. The dog was in surgery Tuesday night.

This happened in my backyard... Neighbors said cops had been in my yard since this morning conducting the manhunt in the woods on the back of my property.
Had to park my car on the way home from work half a mile up the road and walk through the crime scene to my house. Tons of police and neighbors on the street.

Crime scene is in the woods didn't really see anything of note other than the dozen state police cars on the street. Streets lined with neighbors cars though since no one can drive through

Suspect attacked a K9 Deputy and dog with a knife , dog was injured . Thats all i know and can say for now
