I had a filling fall out. I am not in any pain but I have a hole in my tooth. My dentist is closed on Fridays anyway but is this something that qualifies as an emergency or do I have to wait until after April 30? I am sure dentists are not real keen to be that up close and personal in someone's grill during the Rona.

Unless it is causing you pain (wink wink), they aren’t gonna take you. But if you tell them it is causing pain then they can take you.

We will replace a filling. Just tell the Doc it is sensitive. I would fill it. But if it is a large filling it may need a crown

Where are you located?

If you’re in NOLA area, I’m a dentist and our office can see you. Email me at geaux58030719@gmail.com and I can give you our office info to set up something

Yeah they’re saying April 17th but I guarantee you that changes with the extension to April 30th. Some states shut down dental through September from what I’ve heard and you can’t go that long with a hole in your tooth. So I would call it an emergency.

I'm in AL.Had an appointment April 14th.They called and said that right now they're being told that they can open April 17th.

That could change.

My neighbor, who's also a dentist, says they are only doing emergency work. Losing a filling would qualify. They are using full PPE for any work right now. Drill creates a ton of aerosols and that is an issue.

In BR, I’d suggest giving Kidder on Perkins a try
