I’ve looked on Amazon but the plutonium prices have increased with inflation. My buddy Doc says he can get a deal from the Libyans, supposed to meet them in the mall parking lot last night but o haven’t heard back from him.

Ok. Same can be said for PV. Get a big enough system to produce 125% of your annual usage. 1:1 Net Metering rolls your credits over for those Winter months. Save $$$ in the process. The other poster mentioned remaining grid tied as if that was some sort of argument against. Still saves you money and you can be grid tied if you ever need energy.

Demco changed our meter to one of those new internet connected devices. I guess they were under estimating our monthly usage so they hit us with a 400% higher bill last month than normal. Demco had not been out reading meters since February so there was a massive difference between their estimates and the actual last reading. I called, waited an hour on hold only to be told the charge was correct and to “pay up sucka”

Lots of utilities do this. They read your meter at periodic times and then use calculations to estimate your actual usage. If you have “multiplier” on your bill, that’s what type of cycle you’re on.

I bumped this because I just got my current bill and my cost per kWh actually went down from last month. It would help if anyone complaining about the higher bills would post this part of their bills so we could see what is going on. You can get the copy of the bills from the MyDEMCO site then click on billing history under Billing and Payments then click on the months you want where it says view bill.

LAST MONTH:

CURRENT BILL:
