Maybe it's not statewide. It's banned in my neck of the woods. I have never used it, but knew s cpl baws that did and remember seeing in the paper when it was banned.

Personally, I'm glad to see the DEA ban kratom. Though it hasn't killed
anyone yet, nothing in this world is 0% safe.

And after the DEA has saved millions from the ill-effects of Kratom abuse, surely it will turn its attention to alcohol.

They drastically changed the state law on opiates around that time too. Which fricked over a ton of people.

You can thank Bentley, the old peeve, for that. He had a bill basically killing pain management either last October or the October before (I think it was the latter). You can look it up on Google and read all the restrictions it placed. It's a wonder anyone can still get anything for chronic pain. (Herniated/ruptured lumbar discs,L4-S1 here).

I've used it, but saw no effects even remotely comparable to opiates while taking it.

This. This is like the DEA banning nutmeg.

This should not be schedule I. Kratom personally helped me get my life back and help me with managing and quitting my addiction. It was better than any rehab or methadone/suboxone. There is a huge potential for Kratom treatment helping all types of opiate addicts to get off stay off of opiates rather than being a slave to them and the DEA and the US gov't is highly irresponsible for making it Sch. I. This will directly lead to more heroin overdoses and destroyed lives.

Well I'm just hearing about this today so bump, there's a really good Forbes article about it if anyone cares to Google it.

Went to the Lotus on college after work and everyone in there looked like their dog just died, buy they're still in supply through September.

This has to be the most transparent pharmaceutical meddling in government that we've seen in decades.
