A deputy began reviewing the footage at the day care, and the arrest reports document numerous incidents of very similar nature. In each, Guziejka delivers a swift kick to the lower back of a 2-year-old child, who then cries out in pain and clutches at the stricken area, the documents say.
According to an arrest affidavit, Guziejka was caught in security footage kicking toddlers in her care in over 100 incidents dating back to July 2024.
Guziejka was charged with six counts of injury to a child with intentional bodily injury.
A jury trial was originally set to start Tuesday. Guziejka’s attorney Matt Bingham is asking the court for a 10-year sentence for each charge, to be served at the same time.
The defense also asked for a pre-sentence investigation because it is used by Texas Department of Criminal Justice authorities during the classification process once she arrives at prison.
Needs to be consecutively.

At first I thought arrest just happened as it’s summarizing the arrest report even though reported in October, but this was the trial phase where she changed plea to guilty before it even started with sentencing coming later. Article from link in the OP looks like it was an attempt to copy or summarize another article it references while making it it’s own as well and left out main topic of pleading guilty (as of right now at least).

Day care worker admitted to kicking toddlers more than 130 times over several months
The document says the woman saw Guziejka on video kicking a 2-year-old boy in the small of his back. The worker reported the incident to the boy’s father, who contacted the Smith County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 23, 2024.

Former Lindale daycare worker pleads guilty to kicking toddlers
A former Lindale daycare worker accused of assaulting six toddlers in her care more than 130 times over several months pleaded guilty on Tuesday.
