The man didn't have a chute and jumped from 25k feet. There are probably a handful of people in the world who can make that successfully. There are no second tries.

Right. But as I noted earlier, he's a professional and wasn't doing this by guess and by gosh. He tested and retested everything. There was someone in the plane with a GPS and a stopwatch who knew within about a foot *exactly* where the jump needed to happen, and there were probably several dry runs with a parachute.
It's impressive, yes, but he was not some yahoo who threw back one last beer and yelled "hey y'all watch this!" when he jumped. This was very carefully done, he was very nearly certain to succeed.
Once in a rare while, it doesn't work though.

True, but it's something that had never been done before. Call me crazy, but it was impressive. I'm not quite as jaded as some folks yet.
