If the dog is required to wear a muzzle outside then I don't see the issue.
It won't be an issue until the day it gets out without it's muzzle. Course when that happens it's too late for whomever the dog runs across. I just hope it's not a small child.

I guess my issue with the judge is it seems to me .410 shot doesn't penetrate a target that much.
The Judge is a worthless weapon. It serves well as a snake gun with bird shot but has no other practical purpose in my opinion.
A full sized 9mm is a thousand times better for self defense than a Judge. For these reasons:
1. It doesn't weigh a ton
2. You get more than 5 shots (generally 15-19 rounds in 9mm)
3. Your shot doesn't immediately spread when leaving the barrel (the rifling in the judge causes it to put a rotation on the wad. This causes the shot at 15 feet to be almost worthless)
4. Reloads are much faster
5. Sights are better
6. You can put MORE shots on target at a quicker rate
7. Shooting 45 Colt is pretty worthless in a Judge since the cylinder requires the bullet to travel through the air for about 2 inches before hitting the rifling in the barrel
But if you want it for fun, knock yourself out.

I know someone who is friends with them as well and there are definitely two sides to this. Not that they haven't done a shite job of keeping him locked up but there are definitely issues with that crazy neighbor. The one who gave the odd "it's like the Wheel of Fortune" interview on TV. They put a special lock that requires two hands to operate on their side gate (the one by the neighbors house) and yet the gate continued to somehow magically open and let the dog out. That woman also likes to walk the neighborhood wearing a helmet amongst other odd behaviors. Also, when I looked into the 19 "incidents" some of them were pretty trumped up. Things like people calling and complaining because the dog barked at them from its backyard when they walked by the house. One of them was Animal Control writing that the dog growled and barked at them when they came to the house, opened the gate and came into the backyard when the owners weren't home. Which is what dogs are supposed to do.
Like I wrote in the last thread, my biggest heartburn with the re-hearing was that the government made a ruling, the owners complied and then they summarily decided to try and change their mind. It's not supposed to work like that. Now if he fricks up again, it's the needle for him.

It doesn't penetrate the greatest, but the area of the wound would be large.

Apparently this dog has gotten loose frequently without a muzzle on. How many ppl has it attacked?

You also only get 5 shots to put those on target with lots of felt recoil. You could use that same window of time to put a lot of 9mm on target.

hopefully it gets out and attacks someone with a weapon and end this problem. No need for them to have a damn pit. None, zero

Do you think a .40 or 9mm would be adequate
Those dogs can weigh 140lbs. If you only have a 9 you better be ready to shoot two or three times.

Handguns aren't good at stopping anything immediately unless you get a hit to the central nervous system. Same goes for humans.

I'm unloading it regardless of my target

True.
That is why a handfull of Temik meatballs tossed over the fence will fix this solution.
Quick. Like 5 minutes quick.

This is a sign of the state of the culture. A generation ago, people knew that if a dog killed another dog or was aggressive and had hurt someone one, the Animal needed to be put down. People don't know what is right anymore.

The owners have a four for high picket fence and besides the pit bull, they own a German Shepherd--does that sound safe to anyone?
