re: Damning report on the American poultry industry

This story reeks of bullshite.


Foster Farms in Farmerville, LA is a decently clean facility but it's staffed almost entirely by miserable, crass black women. From what I've heard that's pretty typical of these plants; this just sounds like anonymous bitching by low-level employees who backed themselves into dead-end careers hoping to throw shade on "the man." I know someone who does quality control up there and the stories they tell are nothing like this, but rather are about how completely lazy, apathetic, and unhygeinic the workers are- the plant operates under strict OSHA guidelines and it's a big concern for management, considering how much the workers would love to burn them at any chance for a lawsuit payday.
