You're about 40,000' too low.

You can see the curvature from Everest, which is 30,000'.

Nah, that's actually a fisheye lense that causes it. Serious answer.

You can't physically detect the curvature at that height. The difference in the extreme left and right horizon isn't noticeable with the human eye.

Also drive the Spillway. There's a line of transmission towers that shows the curvature quite obviously.

Seeing the power lines disappear as they cross the lake are not QUITE the same thing as seeing the Earth's curvature directly.

No because it's flat. Everybody else knows the earth is flat. Try to keep up.

This sounds like a smart arse response. There are legitimate questions about the shape of the earth. Many intelligent people believe it to be flat. Its not proven to be spherical scientifically (yet).

This is an online distance to the horizon calculator. At 10 feet observation height the horizon is 3.9 miles away.

Maybe this will help your quest

Also... if you are at the beach, and you lie down and watch the sunset, you can jump up really quickly and watch it set again. Same thing with the empire state building, if you could get to the top quick enough.

I've seen multiple accounts that report you can.

Quora

I agree though that that does look like a fisheye lense however.
