Yea my 2018 F250 4x4 was well under 35k delivered to my house.
I cringe when I see someone driving a new one that is a Platinum. I just can't stomach spending that much on a vehicle.

Was this the gas burner?

I get 1k a month vehicle allowance. I could swing that. But instead I drive a paid off taco with a cracked windshield

Exactly, and an XLT is nicely equipped. That’s a good price for a good truck
I just got one last week and it's perfect for what I need. I sold my 2018 Denali bc I hardly drove it (had a commuter car which I sold too) and even though I've dogged Ford for years, I love the new truck so far. It's Sport model that looks exactly like the more expensive Laramie. The seats are pretty damn comfortable for being cloth and I can always add Katzskin leather later on if I want. Lost my 4wd but the F150 has a locking rear axle so it's not totally handicapped if I need the extra traction. The 2.7 is faster than my 6.2 was and blows it away in the gas mileage department. I don't tow or haul much (mostly trips to Lowe's for garden/home supplies & a small utility trailer) so it has more than enough power to handle anything I'll ever throw at it.
It's nice to have all the fancy shite and say you can afford a truck that has a MSRP of over 60k. It's much smarter, and more enjoyable, to have just as good of a truck for almost 30k less.

You think so? I know the ecoboost is fast but I thought the 6.2 was faster than the 2.7 and about even with the 3.5.

I bought a brand new Ford F-150 in 1999
I think I got my 1999 F150 XL, single cab and auto V6, for around $16k. Give or take a couple thousand. A similar truck now would probably be low $20s, but it’d also be a much better truck.
Goddamn that old V6 was a slug. 205hp never felt so weak.

If conditions were perfect and both launched at the same time with minimal wheel spin, it might be a dead heat but I still think the 2.7 would win by a small margin. It's lighter by about 600 pounds and hits it's peak torque at around 2700 RPM versus 4100 for my 2018 6.2 Sierra. If you put the 2.7 in Sport mode and turn on the locking rear axle, it pulls like a bat out of hell off the line. Ford has matched the 10 speed transmission perfectly to the 2.7. I had the 8 speed on my 6.2 though the 2019 Denali's have the 10 speed. I've read it's an improvement but there's still some kinks to work out on it.
The 3.5 is another story. If I had a need for all that power or extra towing, I'd have gotten it but the 2.7 has more than enough for me and I'll enjoy the better MPG from it as well.

Ah that’s cool info. Thanks for the detailed response. The F150’s weight is one thing I always forget about. I’ve never driven the ecoboost but sounds fun. I have a 5.7 Tundra which isn’t winning any races although it’s got all the power I need.
