We have our lawn sprayed and use chemicals to control crabgrass but for some season this stuff has crept up in a patch of our yard. It seems to be growing, I am manually digging it up, is there an easier way to get rid of it?

Use a crabgrass killing fertilizer, cover all around the patch too, for spread seeds, let it die, dig it up, replant some of your grass seeds.

something tells me this isn't about maintaining a yard. i think they make special shampoos for that.

Vantage herbicide. Had a similar issue. Used it last year on my centipede and this year I see no crabgrass in the lawn except a few along the ditch which always has water in it. Make sure it's OK for your type of St. Aug.
