Walter Herrmann from Covington is trying to get a chance to compete in the Fjällräven Polar Dog Race. This race is only for regular folks, not people who always race dogs, from all over the world.
Fjällräven Polar is an approximately 300km long winter adventure across the Arctic tundra. The participants will drive dog sleds all the way from Signaldalen in northern Norway, to the forests surrounding Jukkasjärvi in Swedish Lapland.

Not reading on the link, but I would have to assume that these "regular folks" will be accompanied by people who are experienced in handling the types of conditions they will experience, right? Otherwise, someone should let him know that he could likely die out there.
