Madisonville is a dump.

If you want a better restaurant than Bear's, check out Vasquez in downtown Cov.
If you can walk out of there not stuffed to the gils or unimpressed at all, you a daisy.
The service and quality are 100% naturally N'awlins.

Grew up in BR so when people complain about the traffic I laugh. Lived in New Orleans and Jackson also so it's been a pleasant culture shock for us. We went to the Christmas parade this weekend. Left wagon/chairs unattended without a worry. Garbage can wheel broke a couple of months back, but new one was delivered to my garage before I got home from work. We saw the Mayor bring beach toys to Bogue Falaya Park in his golf cart for kids to play with in the sand box. Great community! Covington downtown is growing fast but already has several great restaurants.
