What is difference of “epidemic” vs “pandemic”? To be honest, I don’t think I have heard “epidemic” used but when discussing COVID

The difference is a pandemic is multi regional, spread out to different countries etc. if this was contained to just China it would be a epidemic.

I’m school I remembered a pandemic had a passport. As a lame way to make sure I didn’t mix the two up

Making way for Mass Shootings. They can't wait to step on child corpses to virtue signal.

Then guns will become a "pandemic".

Good. Hopefully people wake the frick up and realize this never should've been a thing, it being over, and we can move on with our lives.

Hell, most outlets are too busy passing off conflicting "news" stories of doom and gloom to see anything positive.

I try and read everything - so I opened up a doom and gloom article in the Atlantic about chronic conditions related to covid.

The star of the article complained about a series of symptoms, including fatigue, and it did truly sound debilitating.

But she’s never gone to the doctor to be tested.

Yesterday, I read an article about a hospital going back to limited testing with parameters that have to be met before you can get tested due to the spike in cases and shortage of tests.

Today, I read an article from another news source about that same hospital. It said that they had plenty of tests and that anyone who thinks they need it should come and get tested.

The same hospital reported on by two separate news sources less than 24 hours apart.

It would take longer because the articles are a week or more old, but I could also show where one of the top doctors in the state of Alabama contradicted himself in regards to ICU cases and beds in different interviews with the same outlet separated by a few days. With a little figuring, it would be obvious that he was using the cumulative totals since March 13 to make his case. His numbers also don't match those given by the ADPH on their official dashboard and daily updates, yet the state and media defer to him as an expert.

A pandemic is an epidemic that has spread over a large geographic area and affects a large number of the population. IF COVID-19 ceases to be an epidemic in the U.S. then it can no longer be considered a pandemic for us, unless a new wave materializes and the whole thing starts again. So a pandemic is an epidemic but an epidemic is not necessarily a pandemic.

I believe the latest CDC report states that COVID-19 deaths were down for the 10th straight week. That's something I have not heard on the news since it obviously doesn't fit the narrative.

This thing was overblown. Nothing should have shut down. The epidemic was an invention of the communist china and democratic parties.

The media desperately needs Covid to be a major thing at least for a few more months so it’s all about framing.
