How is Bama covering for bigger fish?

Read the links and comments. Bama half assed Meagan's therapy, recused themselves from helping her at one point, another university employee told her to get on meds before she'd help her. Everywhere she turns to the university she was met with harassment and brick walls.

Gotta hand it to you: you've gone beyond trolling and into trauling with this thread.

Most people think the connection to UA bit is overplayed and, frankly, unfair. She did receive counselling. She was escorted to the hospital and the sheriff's department by university officials. But, reasonably people agree that the university should have been more proactive in helping her pursue the case.
I don't think the revelations about the the DA's office and the sheriff's department surprise anyone - though, outside of this, the sheriff's office is pretty well respected and popular. The current DA used to be a public defender and he unseated the previous DA, so there was already some displeasure with the way the DA's office handled cases.
Everyone is pissed at the Bunns for putting them in this situation. I imagine UA is squeezing everyone to make this all be put on the Bunn family's shoulders.
Oh, and the mayor announced that he's running for governor.
I agree. I have lived in Tuscaloosa for my entire life. I dont get the feeling that the University is at fault, but I think the Sheriffs office could have done a better job with this.
I place all the trouble at the feet of TJ. I have known him for years and I always thought he was a dipshit. Sleezy. I dont know if he raped her, but I couldnt say that it would have been out of character for him.

Thanks for coming forward and being a character witness.

She has a lot of involvement with high ranking UA officials, to say the least.

The accused's dad sits on an invitation-only booster board that advises the president of the university.
The company was part of the construction team that built the practice facility.
Title IX inactivity.
Questionable counseling from the counselors.
The sheriff's wife thing could be pretty mind boggling. She has a lot of links to a lot of things.
These things are university related. No football players, or coaches, were harmed in the listing of these things.

Right, this is not a football thing, its bigger than that. It reaches the top brass of the university.

yeesh, we were doing so good for a while.

UA's President did come from LSU, though.

Are you not keeping up with the developments?

I forgot to add to my list that either Little T or his father, along with a couple of other boosters, paid for the Saban mansion.
This still does not involve any Challenger drivers in sexual assault.
(OK, that last bit was trolling a little)
I would also like to add that I am glad to see the Alabama brethren stopping by to drop off the local knowledge. It is helpful in painting the bigger picture.

It was Judy Bonner in early 2015 - she became chancellor over the system in late 2015 I believe.
Not sure if she was from LSU or if you mean the new guy.

we don't need to go through the same back and forth. If you can provide a thought out description of this top brass cover up and in what manner it happened i would be happy to read it -otherwise it just looks like you are throwing shite on the wall and hoping that Watkins dude proves you right at some point down the line.

Dr. Bell was hired July 2015, the same month this incidence occurred.

220, 221... whatever it takes.
To be fair, in a cover-up like this, a lot of the early info leads to speculation and adding 2+2 for ourselves. It would be so much easier if the guilty would just get a microphone and tell us what they did. We can start with little T and that Sheriff.

We have 36 pages of thought out dot connecting to top brass. Im not a private or federal investigator so what do you want from me? Im simply putting the case out there based on what Ive read and expressing my opinion of whats been uncovered so far.
IMO UofA needs to come clean before the whole capstone is capsized.

But you haven't put any case out there or really done anything, just said that "upper level brass" and various forms of "shameful" etc. while taking shots at her friends and sorority sisters taboot - hell you didn't even link the most important information in the thread which came in this morning.
It doesn't all have to be proven, speculation is fine. I'm just curious if you have a coherent idea of what you think (im not going to come back and try to throw it in your face or anything) happened in regards to the University or just know in your heart that "some cover up involving upper level UA brass" occurred. I'd also be curios what you define upper level brass - I just want to try and get an idea of what you are proposing happened, I think it would make this whole thing go smoother with less back and forth.
For example, I think that Abernathy, DA Office and maybe some other people may have been (I just hate speaking in absolutes about stuff I only have second hand information about) using their ability to look the other way to gain favor and advance in the Alabama political system. I don't think that any cover-up was directly related to an attempt to shield Bunn because of donations to the University (intent admittedly will be hard to prove one way or the other) although some people associated with, potentially even employed by the UA, may get implicated because Tuscaloosa is a small town and UA is the primary employer.
ETA: Hangit also speculation is perfectly reasonable especially when it is labeled as such.

For anyone who is interested here is a copy of Rondini lawsuit filed. Lots of detail and where Donald Watkins is getting his information.
