If these Alabama fans had any class, they would just admit it and try to hold the University of Alabama responsible. But because they only care about football games, rape gets swept under the rug with alarming regularity.

That is the first i've seen of that quote after reading numerous articles, but agree that is terrible - though i couldn't find reference to that in the filing documents when i double checked - however, there were clearly major problems. If it comes to light UA covered something up, there is no justification - i haven't seen that as of yet. The people on both sides using it for hyperbole and trolling don't help anything though.
I don't know who who is just trolling for boredom and who actually is cares - everything will come to light eventually.

I have been following this situation from the get go. Very sickening that the police and UA counselors would do that. The blood is on their hand as it should be. Maybe the cops don't give a frick but those counselors will def. feel the guilt of turning her away. Maybe they get arrested as they should or perhaps the guilt drives them to take their own life.

I haven't been following this thread but I guess I'll give my $0.02.
1. The fact that this guy is 36 (IIRC) and hanging out at Innisfree in Tuscaloosa confirms he's 100% a creep. Basically everything I've heard about him confirms he's a loser with money.
2. Old Tuscaloosa families Bunn, Sealy, etc. are basically grasping at straws to maintain their influence and power in a town that has left them and their antiquated business practices in the dust.
3. The University handled this situation poorly. HOWEVER, this girl was failed from pretty much every direction and the failure by the University is IMO the least relevant failure of all. The University and SHC is not equipped to deal with severe emotional and mental issues/trauma that would lead to suicidal thoughts/actions. She should've been referred to a psychiatric professional outside of the University immediately.
4. I graduated from Alabama a few years ago and know a good number of recent graduates, including some of Megan's older sorority sisters. I have heard zero people outside of this website say anything in support of the University, TPD, DCH, or (most importantly) TJ Bunn Jr. regarding this situation. ETA: I would be embarrassed by any UA grads defending TPD, DCH, or the Bunns in this situation.

The REC and "The Machine" are a real thing gentlemen. A phone call can ruin your career if you work in certain fields or for certain companies. It would be hard not to just "go along to get along", as it were. It is unforgivable to be such a coward, but understandable I guess. The gump way it seems.
