Refuse what service? She's going to make whatever the sample is and put it in one of those sample cups/trays regardless of who is there to grab one.

why do you have to be difficult, just to be difficult. she was 100% in the right to tell some kid in a mask to not grab food off of her try.

Seriously though, it's understandable that the lady might make this mistake, stupid or not. It should never have been a news story.

Most people just see the people wearing masks on the news while the news talks about infected people. Not really a surprise that people could get it wrong.

Asians wearing masks in public is a daily occurrence everywhere, not just because of coronavirus going around. If this was Costco in East Plano, the demo person wouldn't have batted an eye at the hundreds of Asians wearing those masks.
I'm not calling it racist or anything. I'm just calling it an overreaction to something that has barely any presence in the US. That's not really an outlandish opinion to have.
