Not much you can do to screw it up. If HVAC doesn't detect the inducer motor is working when the thermostat tells it to turn on. The furnace will not ignite. As long as you replace the gasket with the inducer motor/fan assembly. Your good to go.

Buy the inducer motor assembly with the fan attached. It's a bitch swapping the fan off the old inducer motor to the new inducer motor if you just replace the motor.

No way would I replace a furnace due to the inducer motor going out.

Ole boy is trying to go in dry on you. Tell everybody who it is and the area you live in. Then find someone else to give you a quote. If you were in Lafayette, La, I would give you a rec.
