Yep. I can promise you that Uber is not sending out paychecks to Uber drivers.

Who pays them?

Is his employer paying him to call in crime while on the job?

So if a person sees or suspects a crime but is current on the clock they should ignore it?

You'd be upset if the cashier at Taco Bell called in a what he suspected to be a drunk driver?

You can still do your job and take a few seconds to call the fuzz baw.

Why did he bring the police radio if he wasnt planning on being the crime fighting uber driver? Either he's on duty and pulling people over, or he's not. I'd be pretty pissed if my uber driver pulled over a random person while I am paying him to bring me somewhere. Like someone else said, if he sees crime in action he's obligated to stop it, regardless of who's in the car. See the problem?

Where did pulling someone over ever come into play? He called suspicious activity in, he didnt get out of the vehicle once

I would say more obligated to call it in, not stop it, as any other human that seen something being done wrongful should do.

well he didn't pull anyone over.

he simply called in suspicious behavior.

Not really. Unless you end up with some kind of crazy cowboy you really aren't going to be in any danger b/c the most logical movie for the vast majority of crimes will be for him to call it in or wait for backup.

If it's anything bigger than that well I get to have a free ride along and a cool story.

I mean shite, we hire off duty cops for security on big shoots all the time. I'm not going to be mad if the dude sees a robbery going on across the street and ditches our commercial shoot to stop some scumbag.
