Your job won't be replaced by AI.

Your job will be replaced by someone who understands AI.

My position with a Fortune 100 company was eliminated in early July after just under 13 years of service. In typical fashion I put together a very organized and methodical approach to my job search. I applied to hundreds of positions and either never heard back or was sent a rejection notice months later. For the record, my employer extended my time through the end of January.

I said to hell with it. I’m permanently leaving the large corporate world. I am in the process of purchasing a distribution business at the beach. You can have your AI Copilot bs. Without the assistance of AI I should be back to my full salary within 18 months. Quality of life improved.

No annual goals, no reviews, no arse kissing, no politics…

I even wrote this post with no assistance and did it faster than it takes to use the fancy chatbot.

If you lazily let AI think and do your work for you, you will soon be replaced by it.

If you command it, master it, lord over it and treat it like a tool...a powerful tool, but one that serves your hand exactly as you intend, it will make you a better, more efficient creator.

You must whip it, browbeat it, correct it, check it, never let it for a moment think it can create for you. It is there to do your bidding, a digital thrall.

If you treat it like such you will see its value. It's a proofer, a compiler, a data fetcher, a formatter.

Not a thinker, not a maker

Sounds like you don’t have much experience with it and it’s not a concern for you. Have fun playing pretend business owner, boomer.
