I often wondered why MS was so hell bent on keeping The Army of Tennessee's battle flag on their state flag to begin with.

We steal every tradition from someone else. We're like the Seattle Seahawks of states.
There are no black bears in Mississippi and the Coast is an extension of southern Louisiana.

Not being from MS, I like the first one better. Magnolias are beautiful flowers (there are a few around my neighborhood) so the larger the view of a magnolia the better.

Yep Louisiana should claim the coast. BTW there are more LSU fans on the coast than OM or State.

I actually like 1.
But I wonder how much I would like it if I just saw the flag and not the cool backdrop. I feel like that is partially what makes me like it.
I very much dislike 2.
I wonder how a combo of #2 with the current flag would look. Put the magnolia logo where the current confederate flag is but have the 3 horizontal stripes?
