So your company has 4 happy hours a year in which they buy you drinks? Are they saying they will only pay for employee drinks? Either way, it might be something just to build chemistry between employees.
It's four times a year, is it really a big deal that you can't bring your wife? You never stop off somewhere after work and have a drink before going home?

I mean...I don't go bar hopping anymore either. But I still will go to a bar with friends.

HH is fun with friends/colleagues only sometimes and it’s also fun if my SO comes to meet us. If my SO isn’t there, I do try to keep myself in check and only have a few.
Not because of the potential of infidelity but because of my dance moves. He watches out for me when I get crazy.
We’re both laid back and don’t check up on each other, but each person/relationship is different. I don’t judge couples that keep tabs on each other- whatever works.

As in, I’ve invited all of the people in my group back to my house where I prepared a delicious junk food feast and (the one he will never let me live down) I once committed us to attend a friend’s child’s birthday party. I’m also a horrible dancer. So yeah, you could say I get pretty freaky.
