It's not a horrible idea. The area is certainly rundown and seen better days, but IMO it's the last landmark going north on Airline before it gets really shady. While not off of interstate, it is at two major highways, and you can get to it a few different directions. I don't know much about soccer, but can imagine there is some demand if they can turn it into a sports complex with at least some indoor facilities and if the can multi-purpose it. Certainly something needs to be done with it.
