Problem is, you keep looking a a different position than what I am. And on top of that, you’re looking at starting salaries while I’ve got over 30 years experience.

I know you want to think that in order to make you feel better in your job as a clerk in accounting dept. making $40-$50K a year.

I started making the same amount of money as you in my mid 20s

It’s ok, Darth. It’s actually more than ok, you’ve done well for yourself. Most slack jawed idiots with no degree don’t even make it to middle class

I’ve been fricking with you all day because my license renews next month, and like always, I put off my CPE until the last minute.

But if you need 2025 SEC updates, I got you fam. (That stands for Security and Exchange Commission, not the conference the college football team you root for but didn’t go to is in)

It’s embarrassing you think that’s some sort of flex, Mr Clerk. You better get back to work, never know when your supervisor will walk by your little cubicle.

I'm in the logistics business. At least 45 % of our vendors (trucking companies) use a factoring company that buys the invoice & then bills us.

The factoring company take 3-5 % of the invoice amount as their fee and the trucking company gets paid 24-48 hours.

Maybe there are companies like that in your industry... ???

do you operate in this way because you dont have the cash flow or is it because you are holding the money and collecting the interest?

Our cash flow is fairly strong. One of the main reasons is to bring expenses more in line with the schedule of realizing revenue. Manufacturing projects have may tentacles (design, tooling, testing, production, assembly, shipping, tariff increases- don't get me started on this one). Different events will trigger invoicing, such as when a container ship is loaded, or makes port, or when product changes hands from shipper to recipient. Most expenses occur in the month before you realize the income, and paying late is one way of realizing the $ in and $ out in the same period.
