This would be a Dassault Mirage F-1 fighter jet. You can tell by the air inlet.

Here's an example flown by the IRIAF, interestingly these planes once belonged to the Iraqi Air Force, but were flown over during the Iran/Iraq war.

They also had a few other models of our jets in their inventory, as they were once our “allies”

ETA: had a friend doing a CAP over a NFZ during the first days of Desert Storm. Saw a fast mover taking off to defect, assumed. Then another launch by a pursuit, put one right up his arse. They’re like WTF? Dispensed with his buddy quickly.

Correct. It is not a Mirage either. I can't identify it.

Ain’t taking the time to look, but rdr is out of place for the frenchie, plus helmet looks commie to me.

There's a Desert Storm youtube video of an F-16 pilot maneuvering through a sprout of SAM's coming at him. Super intense concentration avoiding them.
