The leaders of the tribe there are doing quite well for themselves, that's for sure. The Bucee's in Sevierville is part of the Cherokee development there. They ran off the Smokies baseball team back to Knoxville because the land the stadium is on is worth too much to build more shitty tourist developments on that side the interstate too. Not to mention they run the casinos and various other developments they got going on too.

The leadership of the tribe is quite well off, the trickle down has not gone well for them.
