Cincy and Louisville both have a very midwestern feel. The hipster bar area in Louisville is pretty fun though. For such close proximity, Lexington has a southern town vibe

Midwestern city. Lived there 29 years. Go across the river into NKY and that is where the south begins.

Your buddy must have flunked geography, if he took it at all.

For sure a midwestern city.
The Cincinnati metro area is VERY Republican and often is the most visited region during Presidential election years due to Ohio’s swing state standing.
Cleveland is the opposite - democrat stronghold.

Midwest, but closer to being a southern city than people realize

Cincy in much more evangelical than NEOhio, and has more racist stories. Don't know if that makes it "more" racist, but there is a lot more history there.
From growing up and living here in NEOhio, I tend to think of Cincy as a Kentucky city, Cintucky.

Southern Ohio has a lot in common with Kentucky and W Virginia, and that's not a compliment.

Cincy certainly has a history of racial issues and today the neighborhoods remain segregated. My graduating class has less than 5 African Americans.
Like many other cities, the downtown areas and becoming more diverse.

Do they still hold the KKK rallies in freedom square?
