Not a church wedding, but the last reception
I was at the bride told everyone to "sit the frick down we're about to pray"

Utilities, mortgage, cleaning, set up and personnel all cost money.
Anyone using the facility should expect to pay the fair costs involved.

But I guess that a tiny church in the woods where you are an elder and no costs are involved beyond a few electric lights, it might be really cheap. Have not seen those since leaving Mayberry...
The pastor, minister or priest is an additional cost.

Yes, but it's a very low fee. Like $500.

Considering the use of the facilities for multiple hours, having multiple employees being present to operate sound, music, cleaning, the pastor officiating, etc. I think that's a very fair price. Non-members would be a higher price.
