Depends on the prison, local, state, or fed, etc. some places they can walk, many others, it’s smash on sight.
There are some federal Lows where chomos are everywhere in gen pop. USP Tucson actually has a chomo yard, although Larry Nassar took an early beating because of a SOS order, so even that place has its limits.

I understand what you're saying from a constitutional point of view. From that angle, you are correct and Gary should have allowed the system to work as designed. However it's my belief that anyone who sexually assaults a child should not have the protection provided by the Constitution, thus waiving all rights to due process.
