so glad I could generalize myself into the mold of which you two wanted to place me in.
I only asked because its usually someone that either
A. Can't afford one so they talk shite
or
B. Ignorant kid who is driving a hand me down.
So which of the two are you guys.
FYI. I have the navigation package which only has one Sony 10" sub. Can barely feel or hear it. But the other 11 speakers are awesome.

Here are some other options:
C) People who think it looks like a cartoon truck
D) People who like to rile people up on message boards
To be fair, I admittedly can't afford a 45k truck right now, but we likely have different opinions on what "afford" means.

this is the last year for the raptor anyway, so i guess there is no "competition"

You can still buy a Ram Runner kit, and I think Chrysler is still considering making it a turn key vehicle like the Raptor.
I know it's a kit, which is the main thing Raptor guys bash about it, but it beat the piss out of a Raptor in a pickuptrucks.com test...it's arguably a more aggressive/serious kit though. They said the Raptor had much better on road characteristics...which is to be expected anyway.

Afford means I can go buy two with cash and it won't block my ultimate goal of retirement at 38. I don't make many big purchases though.
Afford to you might be "Can I go to Free Drinks at Freds or not."

Ford is 2-3 years ahead of Chevy and gmc in the truck market as is. I don't see them ever catching up.
Hopefully they come to their senses soon and get a better line of engines. My v6 ecoboost flat out hauls fricking arse, Has as much torque as the 6.2 v8 (a hair under).

Okay, now you sound like a typical raptor guy who is full of shite. Buy two with cash and retire at 38?
Posted on 1/27/14 at 3:40 pm to dreaux
the 6.2 i have is 2 valve per cylider. I think GMs is 4 valves. Anyone know for sure. I would think this would help and why they are claiming 420/462 over fords 411/434

Yeah that is the goal.
We may have different definitions of retirement. Just don't want to do what I am doing now or will be doing for the next 8.

I don't know what Freds is. I highly doubt your financial situation, as it sounds too similar to mine and I refuse to believe someone from your ilk and myself share a similar financial plight.
I mean, come on, you drive a Ford Raptor.

I was thinking of a Raptor when the lease on my Range Rover is up. Is it a practical vehicle for a family? My wife has a Lincoln MKT as the family car but I wanted something a little more fun to drive than a RR.

Also, the new 5.0 is light years better then their triton line. I had the 5.4 in my 06. I couldn't believe how much more power the v6 ecoboost had. I thought it was a gimmic.
It pulls about 380hp and 415ft# torque.

yeah its rediculous to think that the tritons held on as long as they did.

hope you get there. I was just raised to not spend what you don't have. I have never had a credit card. The only thing that can sideline me at this point is if I find a chick thats not stupid or crazy or both. They are out there.
