What is the difference between a charter school and a traditional public school? I grew up in MS and I don't think we have any, but I know they are pretty prelevant in LA.

Not many mobile quarterbacks at charter schools. Mostly traditional pocket passers.

Didn't you ever watch the movie Coach Charter?

It's exactly like that.

Charter schools are private schools overseen by the public school system that receive a certain dollar amount per student to operate and profit from. They sign contracts with the school system for a certain number of years(not sure but <5) and they they are reevaluated at the end of the contract while having to maintain certain standards.

A lot of the charter schools are national companies that operate many charter schools.
