Chances of getting speeding ticket reduced?

I got pulled over for doing 80 in a 60 (20+ over) on I-85 in Virginia this weekend. Thankfully, the officer didn't give me a reckless ticket (which he could have done according to state law), but it still sounds like the 20+ over ticket is going to hurt my insurance premiums much more than a 19 over ticket would plus I will have twice the points (6 vs. only 3) put on my license.
So here's my question for the OT experts: What are my chances of getting the ticket reduced to only 19 over (79 in a 60) based on the fact that Google tells me that most radar guns have a manufacturer-issued margin of error of at least +/- 1 MPH? Assuming Google is right and that I can get proof, it is statistically just as likely that I was doing 79 as it is that I was doing 80 as the officer stated.
Any thoughts? If I have a chance, I might try to fight it. If not, I'll save myself the attorneys fees and just pay the ticket online.
TIA!

Statistically, you'd be better off not speeding.

Now that you've got that out of your system, any actual advice? Bueller?

Drive a slower vehicle.

The county prosecutor's office will be able to answer this. Some will drop to a non-moving violation if you attend a driving class. I knew a local mayor that would sell driving class completion certificates for $20.

Really? The county prosecutor will consult with me on my best defense for the ticket? If so, that's awesome.
This is my first ticket, so I'm learning as I go.

The OT only approves of speeding if you're in the left lane passing someone. In that singular case, actual speed is not important.
Were you passing someone?
Were you passing someone?

Zero chance of that happening in Virginia
Worst state in the US for traffic tickets

But if negotiating with the prosecutor doesn't work, do you have any problems with man on man love?

This
Don't speed in Virginia.
You can easily end up going to jail.
Count your blessings that you didn't get a reckless driving ticket.

If that's the case, yes. I was absolutely in the left lane passing someone.

Wat? No, thats not how this works. You need to stipulate youre willing to save his time and yours and say that youre willing to plead to a nonmoving violation and pay an equivalent fine for speeding in lieu of pleading guilty to speeding rather than wasting everyones time at trial. Most times theyll take you up on it.
Unless youre in NY and then the state trooper can personally prosecute you

Ps dont admit to anything.

No, I don't, but it's irrelevant here since I'm a woman. Also, who says the prosecutor is a dude?

OK, that makes much more sense. Got it. Thanks.

A woman driving 80?
Lucky you didn't kill someone

What did your husband have to say about this?

On second thought youre doing 20 over in VA. Just pay a traffic attorney to negotiate it down for you and keep it off your record. Its money well spent.

They'll tell you that you were probably going 81.

Did you not show enough cleavage? I thought women got warnings.

That's my plan... I'm definitely not dumb enough to try to negotiate it down myself. I just wanted to get a feel for whether the attorney would have any chance of making it happen or whether they'd take my money and run. I'm sure they'll say they can do it - but whether they actually can is a different story.
I got the ticket a week ago, and I've already gotten letters from two different attorneys in the mail wanting to represent me. These guys waste no time.
