Anyone have any luck growing Centipede from seed? Need to redo most of my yard and sod will be pricey.

Spike roll and over seed. Water generously the first few weeks in the morning, or late evening.

Skip the centipede and go with St. Augustine. It stands to pretty much any weather extreme and once it gets going it'll be nearly impossible for weeds to get through.

I didn't have any problems with seed other than the few patches in a 2 acre yard which are kinda to be expected. They got swallowed up pretty fast though.

St. Aug- you can plug it in areas you don't need instant gratification...less maintenance in the long run by far.
