Any idea of stats for head on collisions before they built the second bridge?

I just read an article about integration in N.O. It was passed in 1960, but by dragging their feet, the schools weren't integrated until 1964. 3 girls went to McDonogh 19 and Ruby Bridges went to Franz. Each had a US Marshall assigned to protect them in 1st and 2nd Grades. They were on their own in 3rd Grade.

Check your facts. I was there in 60 when McDonough 19 was integrated when 3 black kids attended classes there.

Well, I did read it in the T-P.

That explains a lot then. I had a subscription with them for about a year and gave it up when the idiot that delivers the paper THREE times a week would miss my house at least twice a month------------and only 3 people on my block got the paper from them.
I've since changed to The Advocate, delivered daily and they haven't missed one issue in 5 months.
