OMG, and here are the moms that create nightmare men. This is your son, not your husband. Why do women insist on creating co-dependent, creepy relationships with their male children?

thanks, I was tempted, but skipped over that one

Catholic High alum in Baton Rouge question The whole Catholic high alumni advantages are bullshite. It's all up to the individual. I know plenty of St Michaels people who are more successful than Catholic grads. ETA: nobody cares about your high school diploma once you get your college one

No, this is bullshite. No one says everyone at CHS will be better off. The depth of alumni and the connections through conversation are far superior. Good luck interviewing with people over 40.

You really don't get what's being said. Sure, take a Harvard grad and a CHS grad who went to LSU and the Harvard grad will win on paper every time. Go to a cocktail party, meet someone at a company you want to do business, and common bonds turn strangers into people with a credibility check. Anyone my generation who went to Bishop Sullivan either left CHS or had parents who didn't care. It may be wrong, but the reputation was bad.

Lol

No

I would never put my HS on my resume. If you have a college degree then it's safe to figure that you got a HS degree.

FYI I went to CHS and don't put it on my resume. If they need to know they can ask me in the interview.

I feel for his future wife.

Gonna be like Charlotte's first husband on SATC. Coming home and his mom giving him a bath cause he is sick.

You want him to stay in BR to be close to you, but you're planning to move. So I guess you're thinking he will move wherever you do?

FWIW, I would hope my kids move wherever it makes THEM happiest, even if that means they're not close to me.

I'm a CHS+LSU alum.

Left the state after college.

Where I went to high school factors nearly zilch in my life at this point.

But yeah, if he's gonba stick around in BR, I would stay at Catholic.

I think that it's easier to get into Heaven if you are an alum, not sure though.

Well at least you are aware how you come across. You came to the OT and gave details about being a mother hen. We all know men whose moms were overbearing and/or overprotective and it never helps a man later in life. I'm sorry you felt insulted, but 1) it's the OT and 2) try not to make it sound like you baby your kid quite so much.

I wish y'all the best and hope his remaining years at CHS are as successful as his initial ones!

Why do you feel the need to use exclamation points after practically every sentence?
