They essentially sell their mattress in layers- you can have either side the same or different (split). In retrospect, I wasted about $100 because we wound up having the same firmness of each layer on each side. But the company will ship you individual layers (excluding reasonable shipping) for 90 or 180 days until you get the firmness you want.

My wife usually likes softer/plusher mattresses, I usually like them firmer. I figured one of us would send part back. We didn't.

their "mattress builder" recommends different firmnesses based on size and how you sleep. It worked out well for us.

The consensus on there is that these internet mattresses made of low qualify memory foam are fine for a short number of years, but they're not built to last a long time. Cheap memory foam sags. Hence the price for some of them. Realistically speaking, we don't want everyone throwing out their mattress every couple years.

I've read that latex is a really good memory alternative that can get you that feeling you're looking for without sagging in a couple years.

I've always heard also that Casper runs hot, so if you're a hot sleeper, be aware.
