He quit his show because white people were laughing too hard at his jokes about black people

No he didn't, you liar. He has given a few different reasons why and none of them are what you posted.

About 50% of his comedy is about racial profiling by cops and black people's fear of them.

No it isn't

… a sketch about magic pixies that embody stereotypes about the races. The black pixie—played by Chappelle—wears blackface and tries to convince blacks to act in stereotypical ways. Chappelle thought the sketch was funny, the kind of thing his friends would laugh at. But at the taping, one spectator, a white man, laughed particularly loud and long. His laughter struck Chappelle as wrong, and he wondered if the new season of his show had gone from sending up stereotypes to merely reinforcing them. "When he laughed, it made me uncomfortable," says Chappelle. "As a matter of fact, that was the last thing I shot before I told myself I gotta take f______ time out after this. Because my head almost exploded."

This was, however, cited as the reason the third season was delayed, not the entire show being cancelled so I was wrong about that.

Are you quibbling over the specific percent I said, or are you saying that he doesn't joke about cops and their interactions with blacks and whites?

I'm not going to defend my random estimate, because that wasn't really the point.

I'm on my phone so I'm not looking for it but there's a good article about all of the reasons. A lot if was just disputes he had with Comedy Central and Chapelle being burned out. They also screwed him out of a lot of money which contributed to him quitting.

Yeah and he didn’t really like the insane fame too IIRC.

A black actor makes stereotype jokes over his long comedic career? Stop the presses that is something new.

You phrased it like it was half his routine. Chapelle does a good job of pointing the finger at all sides. That's why he is so respected. Chris Rock used to be the same way but just drifted into "white people bad" Dave hasn't done that yet so yes your post was hyperbole.

Gotcha. I was misappropriating the stuff I brought up to the cancellation.

And yeah, other than that bit in killin them softly, I can’t remember him doing too much specifically about interactions between black people and cops like he’s saying.

I mean his friend Kenny did get arrested for killing that one cop's horse forcing Dave into selling weed to free him.

Just wait until sports start again.

Nothing will be enjoyable. Every highlight will be who virtue signaled the best.

I have no doubt he'd make fun of the extreme response from all sides, as he has consistently been an equal opportunity offender, but his thoughts on police/black citizen interactions are consistent and pervasive in his material.

1000 pardons for the hyperbolic phrasing of an accurate point.
