Cancer is a terrible disease. I just seen a commercial thy stated more people are surviving cancers than dying from it. Does anyone personally know somebody who had cancer, but ended up passing away later it in life from a different illness? I have been doing a good but a research lately, and just trying to get some personal survival stories.

A good friend had Hodgkins disease 20+ years ago and has had no further problems. It's basically curable for most people if you catch it in time. Another had a soft tissue tumor behind the knee that was discovered accidentally. Surgery and radiation, 5+ years later, no recurrence.
